Financial Times: Aalto EE is already the 45th best in the worldMay 23, 2016
Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE) is now the world's 45th best provider of executive education out of thousands of institutions. It is still the only Finnish institution to make the top fifty in the world's most prestigious ranking, the annual global comparison by the Financial Times. According to customer evaluations, Aalto EE was the best in the Nordic countries for the learning of new skills, the application of these skills in work, and new ways of thinking.
On this occasion, Aalto EE's overall ranking improved by two places, due in particular to criteria such as the impact of open-enrollment executive programs and the customer experience. Customer satisfaction is also evident in the feedback given directly to Aalto EE. For example, Mari Mustakoski, Senior Vice President of Legal Affairs at RAY (Finland's Slot Machine Association), comments on her experience of the AaltoJOKO® program as follows:
"I gained concrete tools for enhancing idea generation processes and inspiring my team. I also found new ways of becoming a better leader."
Most of all, participants in Aalto EE's open-enrollment programs appreciated the learning of new skills, their applicability and the adoption of new ways of thinking. Aalto EE came top in the Nordic countries under these criteria. A good example of this is Mari Mustakoski, who adopted a creative process map within her legal team to support the development of its operations. The Financial Times ranking gave Aalto EE improved ratings for the impact of networks formed during training and for post-program support.
As in previous years, the Financial Times ratings highlighted the internationality of participants in Aalto EE's open-enrollment and customized programs, as well as its global network of partners which includes the Spanish ESADE, ranked eighth in the listing. Aalto EE's network has been further strengthened by cooperation with Chicago Booth, which came 16th.
Ranking testifies to high quality
In 2015, Aalto EE provided 80 customized training solutions for companies and organizations. In turn, around 2,200 management professionals participated in open-enrollment executive programs. The fact that the company has once again been ranked among the world's best provides customers with a guarantee that its content, methods and coaches are of the highest international standard.
"We have managed to convince our customers of the benefits and superb cost-benefit ratio of taking advantage of executive education, even in a difficult economic climate. Competition has intensified and continues to toughen, and our real challengers are increasingly to be found in continental Europe and North America. I believe that we will continue on our upward trajectory, based on our long-term efforts and our partner network of world-class business schools," says Pekka Mattila, Group Managing Director of Aalto University Executive Education and Professor of Practice at Aalto University.
Changes in the business environment and the resulting competence requirement also formed the focus of programs provided for LocalTapiola Group.
"Leadership requires constant development in order to meet both growing customer expectations, needs related to digitalization and changes in the markets,” explain CEO Erkki Moisander and HR Director Sari Kuusela.
A program tailored for HKScan supports the company during its current cultural shift and its building of a harmonious corporate culture.
"Spending a great deal of time listening to the customer was one of Aalto EE’s strong points. The program looks like us," says Sari Suono, Executive Vice President HR, HKScan.
