Aalto PRO and Finnsecurity selected Rauno Hammarberg from Wärtsilä as Security Manager of the Year

Aalto University Professional Development (Aalto PRO) and the Finnsecurity Association have named Chief Security Officer Rauno Hammarberg from Wärtsilä as Security Manager of the Year. The award, which will be presented at the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Diploma in Safety and Security Management Program on November 17, is the first of its kind. The award is granted to an accomplished manager who promotes safety and security expertise in Finland.

Financial Times global top-100 ranking: the Aalto Executive MBA rose 15 places

The Aalto Executive MBA program continues its rise in the world's most prestigious global ranking – the annual ranking by the Financial Times. This year’s 61st place was a full 15 places above that of last year. The Aalto EMBA program for experienced executives particularly improved its performance in career progress. The significance of this achievement is highlighted by the fact that only the top one hundred of around 3,000 EMBA programs worldwide meet the related criteria. The Aalto EMBA is once again the only program provided by a Finnish university to make it into the rankings.

Her groundbreaking DBA dissertation complements research on the financial industry, by engaging in the world's first empirical documentation of the behavior of non-profit investors.
