Director of Digital Business at Uponor Finland Sami Tjurin recently participated in Aalto EE and Esade's Design Thinking for Business Innovation program.

“If I had to name a favorite amongst our instructors, it would have to be Luis Vives. His insights stemming from both academia and his extensive experience of working with multinational companies made him such an engaging and knowledgeable instructor,” Tjurin adds.
Tjurin describes interaction with other participants as one of the program’s highlights.
“We had participants from around the world from very diverse backgrounds, and this enriched all of our interaction. Sharing best practices and ideas was very rewarding. We learned a great deal from each other, both in one-on-one discussions and in larger groups,” Tjurin says.
Tjurin says Uponor has been utilizing lessons he learned during the Design Thinking for Business Innovation program quite extensively.
“Embracing the opportunities of digitalization is a strategic choice for Uponor. The insights and skills I acquired during the program have been a great support for our digital service development,” he affirms.
While design thinking has been a part of Uponor’s service development for quite some time, it has now been brought to the forefront of all service development initiatives.
